Childhood Teacher formed in 1992 by the Superior School of Education of Lisbon.
Graduated in Educational Psychology from the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada (ISPA), in 2009 she finished her masters degree in the same area, with the thesis “Building a kindergaten on the other side of the mirror: From theory to praxis of MEM”.

She has been working for 24 years as a childhood teacher in APIA, mainly in preschool area, where she is currently pedagogical director.
She collaborated as psychologist in “Urban” project from 2000 to 2004: a partnership between Oeiras Municipal Council and ISPA, essentially in the area of parental education, teacher training and psyco-pedagogical support of school-aged children.

In 2005, she was a post-graduation lecturer in Social-Legal Intervention with children and young people at risk at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias.

She joined Escola Superior de Educação Maria Ulrich’s team from 2010 to 2013 as a lecturer in the areas of Logical Reasoning, Multicultural Education and Education Research of the Master’s Degree in Preschool and First Cycle of Basic Education.

As a trainer since 2000, she has worked with several institutions which target groups are childhood teachers, teachers, education assistants and parents.
She defines herself as an “eternal apprentice” of the pedagogical act that seeks the senses and the scientific meanings that give authenticity to the practices. She is a reflective educational agent that has a pedagogical course of continuous sharing of the teaching/learning act and she is deeply committed to transforming school into a place of life and not just of preparation for life.
